How much will the restoration cost Rockingham residents?
The total building and site rehabilitation will cost an
estimated $2.95 million. While the bond vote will be
for this amount, the total spent may be lowered with
savings, and with grants for energy efficiency, historic
preservations, and community facilities.
The bond would be paid back over 20 years beginning in November 2012, and would incrase the tax rate by 4.6 cents; for example it would add $46.00 to the tax bill on a property valued at $100,000.
